Google My Business (GMB) is now Google Business Profile (GBP)

  • Name change: Google announced the rebranding
  • Purpose: The rebranding was intended to simplify the platform and make it more integrated with Google Search and Maps.
  • Features: GBP includes new features like:
  • Call History: See the call log of people who click the “call” button from your Business Profile
  • Messaging: Send messages to customers in real-time, including automated welcome messages and photo-sharing
  • Profile management: Manage your profile directly from Google Search and Maps
  • Editing: Edit details like your address and hours, and respond to Google reviews

You can access and update your GBP by:

  • Typing “my business” in Google Search
  • Going to business.google.com and clicking “Manage Now”
  • Entering your business name in the field to check for a listing

With GBP, you can:

  • Show what you offer, including menu items and services
  • Add photos, a cover image, and your logo
  • Add attributes like women-owned
