Display your products on the Google Shopping tab just in time for the Holidays
Be sure to add your products to the Google Shopping tab to help drive more traffic to your online store by setting up your business on Google Merchant Center.
Enable shopping tab listings in Google Search Overview
Eligible sites that sell physical goods can enable their Product structured data to appear in the Shopping tab in Google Search results by signing up for a Merchant Center account. Merchant Center helps manage your product sales that appear on Google services. There’s no need to submit any products to Google, you only need to continue providing and updating Product structured data on your site to reflect your inventory.
Getting started
You will be offered assisted signup only if we detect Product structured data on your site and identified you as an online merchant of physical goods. If you are already signed up for Merchant Center, we won’t offer assisted signup in Search Console.
If you’ve never signed up for Merchant Center, or if you’ve started but not completed signing up, and your site is eligible, you’ll be prompted in Search Console to sign up or complete your signup process on Merchant Center. Clicking the link in the Search Console page will auto-fill much of the signup information for you, making signup a snap.
If you manage your Merchant Center account through a 3rd party site such as Shopify, you’ll be prompted by Search Console to complete your 3rd-party integration with Merchant Center.
When your signup is complete, all product management is done either in Merchant Center, or on any 3rd party website that you use to manage your Merchant Center integration. Search Console will provide you information about the Merchant Center account and when eligible, growth opportunities.
